By using water atomisation instead of crushing, our FerroSilicon forms ultra-fine, spherical particles with exact size control. In practice, you benefit from consistent FeSi quality, fewer fines generation, and optimized plant performance—whether you’re processing scrap metal, coal, or mineral ores.
15% Coarse Water-Atomised FerroSilicon
Our 15% Coarse FerroSilicon is made with 14–16% silicon to resist corrosion and stay highly magnetic. We keep carbon below 0.80% and iron at or above 82%, while minor elements like aluminum, sulfur, and phosphorus are held under 0.10%, and manganese, copper, and chromium under 0.90%, ensuring a pure, reliable medium for dense-media separation.
The grains are carefully graded so almost every particle is smaller than 315 µm, with 83–95% under 150 µm, 65–80% under 100 µm, 45–60% under 63 µm, and 30–45% under 45 µm. This mix gives you a smooth, stable suspension that sharply separates materials by density.
Key physical traits include a true density of at least 6.95 t/m³ and a bulk density between 3.3–4.0 t/m³. It shows at least 65% magnetic responsiveness, under 0.5% non-magnetic material, a rust index below 0.2%, stable performance at 550–650 rpm, and settles at just 2.0–4.5 cm/min—delivering long-lasting, low-wear operation and easy medium recovery.
